This story marks the beginning and end of a stranger’s “entrance” and “disappearance.”
During the summer of 2069, while serving as a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford, the protagonist stumbled upon a collection of notes belonging to an individual named L. Initially, these notes seemed like historical artifacts, but over time, they evolved into a puzzle that start to piece together L's life. The narrative of this book seamlessly intertwines two parallel timelines: the present (2069-2075) and the past (2014-2015). The book weaves together various narrative forms, including interviews, confessions, poetry, and news reports. Within the realm of fictitious history, the novel delves into the personal actions and circumstances of L and his peers during pivotal historic moments, offering insight into the state of the young generation in the 21st century. Moreover, the book delves into the dynamic interplay between an individual and their confrontation and compromise with reality. The novel chronicles the lives of these individuals referred to as the “submerged,” navigating through the intricate fissures of tumultuous times.
