在國際特赦組織籌劃下以及因應聯合國「世界人權宣言」六十年週年紀念，今年十月Pantheon出版社將出版《我住在這裡》一書。

此書結合名演員Mia Kirshner (米雅•姬舒娜，曾演出「24反恐任務」)、報導文學家J.B. Mackinnon(麥金諾，著名報導文學家，因報導非洲監獄與美洲無政府組織得過國家雜誌獎)的文字與兩位畫家喬薩克(Joe Sacco, 擅於以漫畫紀錄生活與國際媒體頭條新聞)與菲比．格勒克娜(Phoebe Gloeckner,擅於醫學插畫與漫畫)的插畫，試圖呈現四地面臨不同動盪與災難的國家，包括了烽火不停的車臣、種族滅絕內戰的緬甸、因全球化而導致社會動亂的墨西哥、深受愛滋病、結核病與瘧疾威脅的馬拉威等四國。

這本書的編輯方式非常實驗性，有立可拍照片、在飯店信紙上的隨筆、兒童的繪畫、照片的拼貼等等，文字則是置於不同的圖像上，緩緩敘說一個又一個令人心痛的故事，像是戰爭的災民掀起上衣露出被凌遲的傷口，或是母親哀悼著被擄或被謀殺的女兒，讀者只能心痛的看著書中母親撣去沾染塵沙的相框敘說從頭，或是看到戰亂裡的孤兒只能偷著別人不要的剩飯剩菜果腹。此書以圖像書的方式呈現車臣、緬甸、墨西哥與馬拉威四地人們所遭受的災難與無力感。

Part travel journal, part exposé, part graphic novella—but all visually stunning and unique, I LIVE HERE seeks to tell stories about the casualties of conflict and turmoil that have too often gone untold.  I LIVE HERE brings four crisis spots in the world into sharp focus in a way that is both personal and global: war in Chechnya; ethnic cleansing in Burma; globalization in Mexico; AIDS in Malawi.   

There are two main writers, Mia Kirshner, film and television actor, the spokesperson and the project’s heart and soul as well as award-winning author of Dead Man in Paradise and Plenty, J. B. Mackinnon.  Others have also contributed to the writing: Chris Abani, Karen Connelly, Phoebe Gloeckner, Joe Sacco, and others in addition to some of the refuges themselves.

This experimental paper documentary is a scrapbook of experience. We see Polaroids; thoughts jotted on hotel stationary; children’s drawings; photo collages. Words juxtaposed to images that, each in their own way, best reveal the nature of the refugees and their stories in each location. In a tent camp, a war refugee lifts his shirt to reveal his torture scars.  On the other side of the planet, hundreds of mothers dust the framed photographs of their missing or murdered daughters; across another ocean, an orphan goes to prison for stealing a plate of leftovers.  

Pantheon will publish this October, in time to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the UN Human Rights Declaration. 

作者 About the Author 

Mia Kirshner (米雅•姬舒娜)是此書主要的主筆之一，她是加拿大的女演員，比較著名的是在美國影集「24反恐任務」、「THE L WORLD」的演出，此外她也是電影「色情酒店」(Exotica)的女主角。她的爸爸出生於德國大屠殺事件之後的難民營，她的媽媽則是猶太裔保加利亞難民。

J.B. Mackinnon (麥金諾)，曾以DEAD MAN IN PARADISE一書獲得Charles Taylor Prize for Literary Non-fiction，他對於非洲監獄的報導與美洲無政府組織的報導也獲得三次國家雜誌獎（National Magazine Award）。此外他也是位著名的環保人士，曾提出「百哩飲食」運動（100 Mile Diet）減碳作環保。

除了以上兩位作者，美國漫畫家喬薩克(Joe Sacco)與菲比．格勒克娜(Phoebe Gloeckner)也在書中繪製漫畫與圖像創作，讓此書以圖像書的方式呈現車臣、緬甸、墨西哥與馬拉威四地人們所遭受的災難與無力感。
